Probably the first space invader in a forrest. Located not that far from Amsterdam and still on Amsterdam grounds, this also is the first time AmsterInvader invaded at day time. Invading at 15:12 on a sunny day and in a quite crowded forrest near Amsterdam is new and exciting. Invasions usually take place at night – when everybody is supposed to be sound asleep.

The AmsterInvasion season started later than planned due to bad weather conditions. Temperatures above 5º C at night are essential for a successful invasion. Has to do with the glue which is used. Also the location of this AI_091 is a different spot than previously planned. Due to the policy of the City Council of this area to delete all AmsterInvaders AmsterInvader reconsidered the location and has chosen for this option on the A10 overpass.
The original location of AI_091 was at the other side of the road. The night of December 18, 2007 was too cold for a successful invasion. The tiles came off within 20 seconds and this is the only photo taken at that spot.

At August 28 three new space invaders were added to the city of Amsterdam (all of them in the Eastern part of the city) and two space invaders were re-installed (AI_079 and AI_080) after being repaired. This one is almost an indoor space invader.

After AI_055 disappeared in August 2007 the Kalverstraat was again space invader-less. With this one on the corner of the Jonge Roelensteeg shopping Amsterdam had again the possibility to get surprised by a space invader. Too bad this AmsterInvader didn’t survive the facade police. Destroyed within 2 months after invasion. The Kalverstraat and its side alleys are still without space invaders.
